So, you see that title and probably think, "Wow, he must not have liked that new Transformers movie, huh? I need to read on and see what his opinion is on this important matter..."
Well, let me say, that could not be further from the truth...if I were to describe the movie in one word, it would have to be "rock". Not in that "Man, I just had my cranium crushed in with a huge rock" way, but in a "Jimmy Page is the all-time king of guitar rock" way. If you have not seen it yet, please do so...now.
It's true, Megatron is not in his classic form...he, instead, is some kind of weird alien type jet thing. I'm not quite sure how he would have acquired that particular jet form, what with the way the denizens of Cybertron created their vehicular alter egos, but whatever...I wasn't going in looking for realism in my gigantic robot action movie.
In the end, Optimus Prime rocked, the visual effects were the best I've ever seen (yes, better then RoTK), and the movie was an outstanding chunk of summer blockbuster goodness.
